i am now in the midst of my Romanticism lecture. i love this Lecture. it is such a human....module. very realistic of the innate human nature. i am done with my Romanticism lecture. now left with two more. because i dont think that i did well for my Romanticism essay. so i guess...i better STRIVE for the remaining ones. to get at least VERY decent grades for my lit. i love lit. i cant imagine my life without books. serious.
anyway...i want to comment something on Hari Raya. turning my life drive into the junction of adulthood, i realise that there is much more to hari raya than what it seems to suggest. some people my age may scorn at the idea of celebrating Aidilfitri. some claim...its superficial lah...some say its unislamic....my take on this... it is necessary. i like to go visiting to the many houses. i met a lot of pple...whom i would not take the effort to meet if there is no hari raya. i noe that this is a rather perjorative statement because i am going against the ideal of..."you should not only visit and establish and strengthen relationship during hari raya..must make time despite busy-ness". i will shamefully declare that...that is easier said than done. i hugged my mum...the longest this year....longer than my past 20 years of daughter-mum hugs. when my heart and hers thumped against each other, i thought i could feel her. the essence of her, despite all the things she does that i hate.... i now come to understand who she really is...and why she sacrifices so much for us, her children... and my brothers...i can really see them growing up. especially nurudin. he may be 16 and obnoxiously so so so irritating. but hey. he is growing up. and i think...he is growing up well. my grandparents...i miss them too. really felt their heart chords. i love my grandparents. my aunts and uncles....my cousins! kak nur! i miss you already.and abg yan! and his....advices with regard to my love life. and u noe...as life goes by...you get to meet new friends...if u think that great friends are only available in secondary sch or jc....i think i found a really GREAT friend at my workplace. or more correctly...my 'holiday workplace'. hey izzati....my tribute to you for being there and for befriending me and my craziness..*it comes with the package*.hehe! but against all this crappiness...is the essence that good friends come to you...you cant go around asking and applying for friendships... because you are meant to be with them...because they will complement your life so that you can continue living. because without them, maybe you are still a shrimp. hey babe! when we met at boss' house last sat...i realise that i really miss working and bubbling with you. i think i am a person who can get very comfortable with stagnancy and inactivity. but i guess, i do yearn for changes as well. last friday, i stayed back late to finish editing my GEK1014 report. and of course, kamie was waiting for her other half. shamelessly, i followed them for dinner...four of us; me, kamie, zola, fazli. haha! had nice fun ah. a good break eating prata with them. oh well! life goes on, maly. you have to move. because...there are more pleasant things in life...than sadness... and i tell you...i love this quote. because all this while, there are many instances where i keep downplaying the essence of my own self. i keep trying to keep myself at a level...low enough.i dunno. i always think i cant be a good enough leader. i cant be a good enough girlfriend. i cant be a good enough friend. i cant be a good enough worker. hardly is there a time i can proudly tell myself that i can really do things well...i think...things have to change. i am capable of being Me.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” - Marianne Williamson
