i think in life one of the most essential needs of human beings is the ability to comprehend. to understand. we dont exactly care about how things happen. we seem to be bothered more about...why things happen the way they do. of course we need love and all. but we will always ask...WHY.
yesterday, i watched Fitrah Kasih...a show aired on RTM 1, to give a live chance for people to look for and search for their loved ones. they may have been given to an adopted family by their parents when they were young. they may have lost their husbands in the war and not sure if he is still alive or not...when these orphans are interviewed and asked what would be the first thing they would do, given the chance for both parties to meet...
"i would hug them...and ask them why they left me..."
if you were in their place, what would you do? wouldn't you be interested to know why things are done as such?
why do human beings need to understand things? is it because we are given the ability to think and to feel? but does it matter that we understand why things happen as they do? i mean..."di sebalik setiap qada' dan qadar Allah s.w.t. ada hikmahnya..." knowing this...do we still need to know why things happen? the fact is...we know that Allah swt knows Best and He will always give us the Best...why do we still ask?
i am one of these askers. and i do not know why i ask. but i feel uneasy and dissatisfied if i do not. and i want answers. funny. it is an ANSWER only if i like it.
