I LOVE MY ENTRIES|Monday, July 16, 2007
you know what, one of the best blogs to read... in my most humble opinion...is my own blog. haha! i really love the way i write ah. i think, at times, i am even capable of moving myself to tears and sobs and delirious laughter from rereading my own posts. serious. sometimes, i can spend an hour or two, just reading my blog or my previous entries. i read it as if it is not my own. i think that i am narcissistic to a great extent by doing this but i do feel as if i am writing a book. and i put a lot of thought in writing each and every entry even though they may only be one-liners at times. and those puisi-puisi ones, of course, there were several rubbish stanzas where the words just don't fit but i fit them in anyway. BUT there were those that were lovely. even my most non-sensical entries were nicely written that sometimes i thought to myself..."wow. not bad.". haha! ok. u know what makes great writing? it is when in each of them...you make it your own. and this goes to budding writers who write poetry and short stories and novels. i realized this when i was in primary school. one cikgu norahman (and i still remember him till today but i really have no idea where he is right now)...told me this, "Cikgu kenal awak melalui tulisan awak yang sangat menarik dan peribadi (personal)." it is funny that how and what you write can attract attention and acquaintances and friends and lovers. up till today. *smiles*and you know what was the exact 'karangan' that i handed up to him?it was about my holiday trip to LANGKAWI. each detail was true and each feeling regarding the trip was genuine. and then...he psyched me up for a zonal karangan competition, for which i won first (and i got to know nurul from there too) and during prize-giving i got to stand beside a very good-looking guy from.... i forgot where. and then i represented my fuchun primary for the national competition and i got second place. lost to a bedok south girl i think. haha! those were my memories of writing well in malay. in secondary school, my experience was not bad too. always vying for top marks during malay class with the likes of shad, nurul, baba. i mean yeah. it was a standard that i personally set for myself ah. but i always falter in malay argumentative writing. my malay narrative was not bad. topped higher malay in sec three. but then. as i have been saying in my previous entries when i spoke of my teaching-the-english-language stint at school, you need to USE the language in order to be good in it. and there i went...in junior college, my malay went tumbling down head over heels down the hill at NJC. hahaha! the very phrase that i remember using VERY frequently then was "TAKKAN MELAYU HILANG DI DUNIA" and this...i bet... reeza could remember very clearly.and then in uni... ok lah. i got to practise writing and speaking in malay because i am in PBM. haha! speeches and interviews have to be done in malay. so largely...i am still using malay. but less flowery ah. i mean.. how creative and personal can you get with speeches??? haha! but...i still write and blog in malay and i am thoroughly enjoying myself. and sometimes, i really speak total malay especially with him. right,z? it was strange, though. and then sms exchange. puisi exchange. so melayu. but it is still very lovely. *smiles*anyway, sekarang dah masuk bulan rejab. nanti syaaban. nanti ramadan... lagi tiga bulan. awak tak excited ke nak puasa?? saya excited tau. ghairah sekali. tak sabar saya nak tunggu bulan Ramadan.. sebab saya rasa...puasa tahun ini....amat berbeza skali awak.... insya'Allah. saya harap saya dapat ditemukan dengan Ramadan...agar saya dapat doa panjang-panjang...dapat pergi masjid dan terawih setiap malam...saya rindukan kesyahduan Ramadan...saya rindu sekali....*untuk wanita-wanita...dengarlah lagu ini. saya rasa lagu ini bermakna sekali. untuk yang jejaka pula, kalau nak cari pasangan hidup, carilah baik2 ye...*
