REMINISCE|Tuesday, October 23, 2007
i went for jalan raya with my secondary school girls. Eminence for that matter. with Nurul, Hafie, Shad and Asilah. It was nice. It was nice being around people i am so familiar with.
but then again, the best part is not the food. the best part was the
REMINISCING.
it has become a ritual year by year. every single time we visit each other's houses, be it during raya or not. we will take out a box.
a box filled with nice memories. they may not realize it. but it was the box that nurul took out when we were at her house... that got me...thinking. and i think... it did me a great deal of good.
in the box...were many things. though they were not mine.. i had a part to play in it. at that time, the seven of us actually had a journal. not A journal. we have many journals. reading them was... nice. i wrote a lot of silly things at that time. i looked through her box. i saw the 'many' notes and cards and bookmarks that i made for her. haha! i must admit. they do look pretty. i was that BOTHERED at that time. buying strings. colouring. making up new fonts. my good friend Ruth used to say that i should really attempt to do
art in Fonts. hahaa!! speaking of her, i wonder where she is now...
there have been many things that i have lost over the years.
sometimes age and work and material success caught up with you so fast that you didnt even realise that you have lost certain things that you previously enjoyed doing.i want to get them all back. my freedom. my laughter. my silly grin. my endless chatter. they are mine. circumstances snatch them all away from me and it is disturbing. sometimes to be happy, you have to put up certain resistances. and you should resist. you know why? because.. each of us...
we have the right to be happy.
i do not want to be disturbed anymore. :)
